Asansol Township

The main design concept was to design a central plaza as a landmark and node. All other development will radiate from this central plaza. Sub areas are zoned clearly, in order to promote their distinctive identity.

The river that flows through the site is exploited with open spaces and plazas, and thus enhancing the economic value. The ‘tripartite’ relationship of residential, commercial and communal area are in harmony, giving rise to symbiotic growth.
